I Have “No Idea” About Perisic Move to Manchester United – Mourinho

United have been linked with a £48m deal for the Croatia international.

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, says he has “no idea” what is happening with the club’s move for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.

United have been linked with a £48m deal for the Croatia international.

“No idea. No idea my friend. No idea,” said Mourinho at the end of his news conference following his side’s 2-1 win over Real Salt Lake.

“The players say that was really difficult. Difficult to breathe, difficult to think.

“I knew that there are differences playing in altitude but I never felt it because I never played.

“It was quite a difficult experience for them so the quality was not so high, our intensity was not so high. But it’s good experience and we played, that’s the important thing.”

Speaking on the 2-1 laboured win over Real Salt Lake in Utah, the former Chelsea boss said he was more interested in preparing his side for the competitive season ahead.

“This is pre-season, the results are not the most important thing.

“We fly the same day, we go back in the same day and in three days we are playing again. That’s pre-season.

“People sometimes focus too much on the results. I never do it if the results are good, if the results are bad.

“I just want to train and to develop the players and give them minutes to play and obviously the other game had better conditions to be a better match than today, especially because they changed the team twice.

“I really liked the first 30 minutes against their best team but in the second half they changed and they changed again and the boys that were playing were more on the run and in the fight than in the play but it’s okay, it’s an experience.”
